Sampling under Benzene Waste Operations NESHAPs (BWON) is an important aspect of demonstrating compliance with the BWON rule. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that the sampling procedures follow the regulatory sampling requirements and good sampling practice to ensure that accurate and defensible information is used. The BWON rule defines the procedures to be followed when sampling is used to determine the benzene concentration in waste streams. These procedures are outlined in 40 CFR §61.355(c)(3).
Sage’s sampling services are a one-stop shop—we not only develop sampling plans but also perform periodic sampling, construct BWON sampling devices, train employees or contractors in sampling techniques, and audit laboratories that analyze BWON samples.
